Johan is a visual effects artist and filmmaker with extensive experience working on some of the world’s biggest film productions. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, he is currently based in Montreal, QC.

After earning diplomas from Vancouver Film School in 2013 (3D Animation & Visual Effects, Foundation Visual Arts and Design), Johan spent the first decade of his career at industry-leading studios such as MPC, DNEG, and Framestore, working across Canada, Australia, and India.

In 2022, he founded the new media artist collective Mostly Noise, exploring a wide range of audiovisual projects. The collective is particularly known for its work in fulldome video production and live VJ performances at Montreal’s Société des arts technologiques.
